Special Issue Collection Women in Motion Liz Johnson Artur – Digital edition
Highlighting women photographers
After the Fisheye Classics special issue dedicated to Sebastião Salgado published in spring 2020, a new collection dedicated to women photographers sees the light this summer. Dedicated to artists awarded the Kering Women In Motion prize, these new special issues are composed like a monograph: an interview with the photographer, a biography, a portfolio of about 80 pages, and an afterword to put the author’s career in perspective. After Susan Meiselas in 2019 and Sabine Weiss last year, it is now Liz Johnson Artur who receives the Women In Motion 2021 award, and it is also her who launches this new collection. The photographer will present her work dedicated to the African diaspora in the world and will share her views on the place of women in photography on July 5 at the Théâtre Antique, at the Rencontres d’Arles. Some of her images will also be presented in the exhibition Masculinités.
