The women who make the photo
Is there such a thing as a woman’s eye? Should quotas be imposed to compensate for the under-exposure of women photographers in cultural events, even though they are in the majority when they leave photo schools. Should we implement positive discrimination? These are the questions that a dozen women involved in the photo industry in France are answering today. They are independent curators, gallery owners, photo editors, managers at the Ministry of Culture… Their points of view allow them to address with finesse subjects that are currently crossing the photography scene, and that will be developed during several round tables at Paris Photo, among others.
