Les Enveloppes : Guimauve, Charlotte Abramow

By using white paint, Charlotte Abramow detaches the naked body from its carnal side and awakens an abstraction of its forms. For the artist, this is a way of aestheticizing the body differently from what the media share with us. Indeed, here, the skin becomes marshmallow or bread dough... The project is called "Les Enveloppes" to underline that the body is in reality only a malleable envelope.

Find Your Clitoris IV, Charlotte Abramow

These images were born out of Charlotte Abramow's reflection on the hypersexualisation of the female body shaped for the male gaze. She decided to dedicate a series called "Find Your Clitoris" dedicated to women and their personal sexual re-conquest, representing desire and masturbation through evocative close-ups. In parallel, this series aims to break the guilt and slutshaming associated with the woman who assumes her desires and at the same time break the clichés associated with her.
