Visual Diary of Tenderness

Shot with a film camera, Chris Coyle’s pictures are beautiful objects. The photographer captures his everyday life, careful to detect grace, in all its forms. With a background in super 8 movie-making, Coyle, 41, came across a cheap camera at a second-hand shop. He started taking photos because he likes to “make things”. “In the same way that I like to create a piece of music or a loaf of bread, I like to make photographs”, he tells us. His pictures are handmade magic in the morning light of North Wales.
