Law in America is full of quirks. And being able to laugh at something so serious is relieving.  This is an exhibition of photographs breaking an eccentric law from each of the 50 States of the Union. Locher’s photographs take on the caricatures of legislation through her quirky illustrations of America’s most unusual laws. With eye-catching, bright objects reminiscing on Andy Warhol’s pop art, Locher gives her own opinion on american through art. In Olivia Lochers first exhibition she confidently exposes work that raises a more serious point about politics and social conventions while using a satirical dimension, asserting a certain appeal to the images. In a gallery that specializes in fine art, contemporary and vintage photography, Olivia Lochers work falls into place in this modern and neutral gallery. In the heart of New York, no better location to learn about American law through the fun, bold photography of Olivia Locher.
